Key Responsibilities

We at Merlin focus on craft and are looking for product engineers that can imagine and build world class UX.

  1. Building pixel perfect and delightful experiences being comfortable and have fun in building the most complex user interactions if they enrich user experience.
  2. Take the role of a key member in the Product Engineering team, leading projects from idea to execution and beyond autonomously.
  3. Managing and helping junior team members to ship high quality code, and fast.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Has at least 2-4 years of work experience at early stage startups, ex-founder or projects.
  2. Excited about just building things for the fun of it. Ready to go the extra mile for the final pixel perfection details.
  3. Well versed with the modern Typescript/JS stack, nextjs, tailwind and has deep understanding of what performant and good engineering practices.

Social Marketing Intern

Key Responsibilities

Social Marketing interns will perform the following tasks under the guidance and supervision from a manager:

  1. Find/respond to a hot convo in AI niche each week
  2. Create content (about usecases of Merlin AI) and evaluate the results of content performance to inform future creation
  3. Maintain social posting calendars (3 short videos per day)
  4. Develop strategies to grow new and existing social pages
Skills and Qualifications:

You should demonstrate the following:

  • Be in your junior or senior year pursuing an Undergraduate or Masters degree in any field.
  • Canva designing and video editing software capabilities are strongly preferred.
  • A deep interest and curiosity in social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat, the next cool thing etc.) and passion to understand what drives people to share content
  • Receive constructive feedback openly and positively; embracing the attitude that “feedback is a gift to make you better”
  • Eagerness to work in highly collaborative environment
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Some experience with systems including the Google Suite (calendars, docs, slides, sheets) and Slack
Graphic Designer Intern

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and produce enticing visual content, including but not limited to digital ads, social media imagery, website graphics, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
  2. Uphold and evolve the Merlin's branding and visual identity, ensuring consistency and high quality across all platforms.
  3. Work collaboratively with various departments to understand design needs, providing innovative solutions that align with project goals.
  4. Keep abreast of the latest trends and practices in graphic design, digital media, and visual arts to continually improve the visual appeal of our content.
  5. Assist in UI/UX design tasks, contributing to the aesthetic and functional design of web and mobile applications.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Demonstrable experience in graphic design, particularly within a SaaS or technology environment.
  3. Mastery of design software and familiarity with UI/UX design tools such as Figma.
  4. A compelling portfolio that displays your best work.
  5. Strong knowledge of design principles, including typography, color, and layout, along with an eye for visual composition and detail.
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly and incorporate feedback constructively.
